  • Which FPV (First Person View) goggles should I get?
    When purchasing, you have an option of two different FPV (First Person View) goggles: Analog FPV System with Runcam Nano 2 goggles or Walksnail Avatar HD FPV System with Pro Camera goggles. The Analog FPV System with Runcam Nano 2 goggles is our standard goggles we'd provide with the kit and is a robust set of goggles. Or you can upgrade to the Walksnail Avatar HD FPV System with Pro Camera goggles that'd provide you better range, signal strength, and video/recording quality. Both goggles are compatiable with all BETAFLIGHT and ARDUPILOT drone kits.
    SUMMARY BETAFLIGHT: Easier for beginners, focused on flight performance. ARDUPILOT: More versatile, suitable for advanced applications.
  • What is the difference between BETAFLIGHT and ARDUPILOT Kits?
    The main difference between the BETAFLIGHT and ARDUPILOT Drone Kits is the controller software. BETAFLIGHT Drone Kit Speedybee F7 V3 Flight Controller Stack Designed for multi-rotor craft and fixed-wing craft More user friendly due to existing configurator that can run on multiple operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Android. Has active Discord server for community support Several safety features are already implemented to prevent dangerous situations such as preventing arming when the drone isn't leveled. Allows flight data to be logged into a blackbox for later analysis. Large community and development support due to being open-sourced. A very active GitHub repository exists with multiple repositories configuration tools, log viewers, and even Lua scripts for configuring Betaflight from your transmitter2. ARDUPILOT Drone Kit CrossFlight V1 Flight Controller, PDB, ESC x 4 More versatility compared to BETAFLIGHT by supporting a wide array of vehicle types including multi-copters, traditional helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, boats, submarines, and rovers. Strong community support and is used by large institutions like NASA, Intel, and Insitu/Boeing3. Offers advanced functionality such as advanced data-logging, analysis, and simulation tools. It also allows real-time communication with operators. Extensive documentation available through its Wiki, making it easier for first-time users to set up their hardware and software. Utilizes C++ and Python programming languages and platform, making it cross-platform and it's source code is stored and managed on GitHub4. Summary BETAFLIGHT Drone Kits are more focused on flight performance and is generally more suited for beginners due to ease of set-up. ARDUPILOT provides more versatility and offers advanced functionalities, making it suitable for a wide range of applications beyond just flying drones. Both are excellent choices, but your selection may depend on the specific goals you have in mind.
  • Which Drone Kit is right for me, BETAFLIGHT or ARDUPILOT?
    Both options are great for STEM Education. Betaflight Ease of Use: Betaflight is generally easier to set up and use, which could be beneficial for younger students or beginners in drone technology. Ardupilot Versatility: Ardupilot's support for a wide range of vehicles—from drones to boats to rovers—can offer a more comprehensive STEM education experience. Advanced Features: The advanced functionalities in Ardupilot can provide a deeper, more technical educational experience, suitable for older or more advanced students. Real-world Applications: Given its use by large institutions like NASA, lessons using Ardupilot can be tied to real-world applications, adding an extra layer of educational value.   • What is WLKATA Robotics?
    WLKATA Robotics is a company that develops 6-Axis Mini Robotic Arms that take large scale robotic arms from the STEM industries and brings it to classrooms on a small scale.
  • How do I make a donation to uniteSTEM?

  • What is your return policy?
    STEMFlight Kits All STEMFlight Kits items can be returned with 14 days of their original shipment delivery date in same as new condition with all safety seals unbroken in order to be eligible for a full refund. The refund will be issued back to the original form of payment used for purchase. Customer is responsible for shipping charges when making returns. Shipping/handling fees of original purchase is non-refundable WLKATA Robotics All WLKATA Robotics items can be returned within 14 days of their original shipment delivery date in same as new condition in order to be eligible for a full refund.   • How do I request a return?
    We're sorry to hear you'd like to request a return. To do so, please contact us at with your order number, contact information and reason for return.
  • How will my order be shipped?
    Your order will be shipped in a firm and sturdy box, with tracking and insurance. All negative spaces will be filled up with packing material to ensure your order is safe and secure during transit.
  • How long will it take for my order to ship?
    DRONEFlight All DRONEFlight items with a pre-order will take up to 4 weeks from purchase date to ship. All DRONEFlight items in stock will ship within 3 business days. WLKATA Robotics All WLKATA Robotics items will ship within 7-21 business days and are delivered in their original packages inside the corrugated cardboard boxes, with exception of certain items. ALL ITEMS Once your item is shipped, a tracking number will be provided.
